RRB NTPC Notification 2026

Railway Recruitment Boards will run the next RRB NTPC Notification 2026 cycle after Railway Board letter E(MPP)2026/20/6 dated 03 September 2026 approved a Centralised Employment Notice for Non-Technical Popular Categories. The same letter clears 3,477 NTPC (Graduate) vacancies and 1,688 NTPC (Under-Graduate) vacancies — 5,165 together. As of 21 September 2026 the public RRB index on rrb.indianrailways.gov.in still lists 2026 CENs only up to 05/2026. There is no candidate-facing “CEN 06/2026” PDF on that host or on rrbapply.gov.in that opens an apply form from 8 October. This page is a Board-approval watch, not an apply-now notice. It is also not CEN 06/2025 Graduate (that board already ran CBT-I) and not CEN 07/2025 Under-Graduate (CBT-II in September 2026).

The Board letter tells Railways and Production Units to indent, keep reservation, and send papers to RRBs / the nodal RRB on the internal calendar printed in that file. Station Master in Pay Level-6 is not in the 3,477 figure — the letter says that approval will come later. Coaching pages that paste last year’s age band, 8 October apply dates or a “CEN 06/2026” number are not a substitute for a signed CEN on a .gov.in host.

The Board file also has Railway / PU-wise annexures. Those cells are not copied here because we have not published a stable .gov.in PDF URL for the annexure. Zone-wise seats, SC/ST/OBC/EWS and PwBD will appear only in the CEN. A handful of Junior Accounts Assistant / Accounts Clerk seats on South Central Railway are noted in the letter as indent for IRIFM, Secunderabad — confirm in the CEN.

• Graduate NTPC — typically Goods Guard / Train Manager, Station Master (if later approved), Commercial / Senior Clerk, Junior Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist and similar Level-5 / Level-6 titles used in recent NTPC-G CENs

• Under-Graduate NTPC — typically Commercial Clerk, Accounts Clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Clerk-cum-Typist, Trains Clerk and similar Level-2 / Level-3 titles from the last UG CEN

Exact post names, medical standards and typing / CBAT rules come only from the new CEN annexure.

Eligibility

Not notified for 2026. Do not reuse CEN 06/2025 age (often 18–33 with a January cut-off) or last year’s degree list until the new PDF prints them. Graduate vs 12th-pass streams stay separate CENs in recent years — wait for the 2026 pair.

Selection

Not notified. Recent NTPC CENs used CBT-I, CBT-II, then CBAT (Station Master) or typing (clerk / accounts), document verification and medical. The 2026 CEN can change stages, marks or normalisation. No city slip is out for this approval.

Exam pattern

Blank until the CEN. Do not treat coaching “CEN 06/2026 pattern” tables as official.

How to apply (when the form opens)

1. Open rrbapply.gov.in or the CEN PDF on an RRB .gov.in site — not a WhatsApp / Telegram “apply” button on a news site.

2. Read the new CEN number, vacancy annexure, one-RRB rule and last date.

3. Match Aadhaar name and date of birth with the Class 10 certificate if the CEN still requires Aadhaar verification (that rule was in recent RRB forms; confirm again).

4. Pay only the portal fee. Keep the registration number.

Application fee

Not printed for this approval. Fee and refund slabs will be in the CEN (recent NTPC CENs refunded most of the fee after CBT-I for eligible categories — confirm then).

Salary

Recent Graduate NTPC posts sat in 7th CPC Level-5 and Level-6; UG posts in Level-2 and Level-3. That is history, not a 2026 pay table. Allowances follow the posted Railway / PU.
