India Post GDS Notification 2026 form submission closed at 17:00 on 21.09.2026. The Department of Posts had opened Gramin Dak Sevak Online Engagement Schedule-II, July-2026 under notification 17-12/2026-GDS dated 20 August 2026. Circle-wise vacancies in official Annexure-Ia add up to 23,757 BPM, ABPM, and Dak Sevak posts. One-time registration closed at 17:00 on 19.09.2026. The edit and correction window is 23.09.2026 to 24.09.2026, 17:00, on the same registration at app.indiapost.gov.in. Age was 18 to 40 years on the last date of application, with relaxations in the PDF. GDS are not regular Central Government employees. The portal page checked on 22.09.2026 still shows this schedule. There is no separate corrigendum dated 22 September.

The descriptive notification, Annexure-Ia (circle vacancies) and the apply URL are on the Department site. Selection is by Class 10 marks (percentage to four decimals) plus document verification . there is no written exam in this engagement. You must have passed SSE (Class 10) with Mathematics and English and studied the local language of the chosen circle as listed in Annexure-III. Only one registration is allowed.

Large circles in the same annexure include Maharashtra (Marathi 2,297 + Konkani/Marathi 134), Tamil Nadu (2,118), Uttar Pradesh (1,691), West Bengal (Bengali 1,619 plus smaller language rows), Madhya Pradesh (1,450), Jharkhand (1,379), Kerala (1,373), Odisha (1,353) and Bihar (1,098). Division-level seats are on the portal.

Eligibility

• Age 18-40 years on the last date of application; SC/ST +5, OBC +3, PwBD +10 (and combined rows in the PDF). EWS has no extra age relaxation.

• Class 10 (SSE) pass with Mathematics and English from a recognised Indian board. Equivalent boards not listed as eligible in the notice are not accepted.

• Local language of the circle studied at least up to Class 10, as in Annexure-III (special rules for Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Sikkim, Nagaland, etc.).

• BPM must later arrange Branch Office accommodation in the post village at own cost.

How to apply

1. Registration closed at 17:00 on 19.09.2026. The page is the official registration page.

2. Form and fee closed at 17:00 on 21.09.2026 at the candidate portal. A payment still pending after that hour was rejected.

3. Photo and signature stay as uploaded. Do not send a paper form.

4. Use 23.09.2026 to 24.09.2026, 17:00, to correct the same registration. Do not create a second registration.

Fee

Fee is not refunded. Hours of work are 4-5 a day under GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2020. Confirm TRCA and circle language on the PDF before you pay.
