The Staff Selection Commission has uploaded the detailed SSC CHSL Notification 2026 (Combined Higher Secondary Level / 10+2 Examination) on ssc.gov.in on 7 September 2026. About 2,536 tentative vacancies are notified for Group ‘C’ posts — LDC / JSA and DEO / DEO Grade ‘A’ — in Central Ministries, Departments, Constitutional and Statutory Bodies. 12th-pass candidates in the 18–27 year band (as on 1 August 2026) can apply online from 7 September 2026 to 7 October 2026 (23:00 hrs).   • LDC / JSA and most DEO / DEO Grade ‘A’ posts: 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognised Board or University.

  • DEO / DEO Grade ‘A’ in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, SSC, and Ministry of Culture: 12th in the Science stream with Mathematics.

  • Appearing candidates may apply, but the Board/University must have declared the 12th result on or before 07.10.2026. Mere processing of result is not enough.

Citizenship: India, or Nepal/Bhutan subject, or specified PIO categories with a GoI eligibility certificate (para 4).

Multi-shift CBE marks are normalised as per the Commission’s notice dated 02-06-2025. Separate category-wise cut-offs may apply for (i) DEO in para-8.1 departments, (ii) other DEO, and (iii) LDC/JSA. There is no re-evaluation.

Session-I is 2 hours 15 minutes (Sections I–III). Minus 1 mark per wrong answer in Sections I–III. All sections must be qualified. Computer Knowledge is mandatory but qualifying.

DEO skill: 15,000 key depressions/hour (para 8.1 departments) or 8,000 key depressions/hour (other DEO), 15 minutes. LDC/JSA typing: 35 w.p.m. English or 30 w.p.m. Hindi (Mangal font only), 10 minutes. Medium chosen in the form is final.

How to apply online

  1. Open ssc.gov.in (or the official mySSC app from Google Play).

  2. Complete OTR on the new website if you have not already. Prefer Aadhaar-based authentication (photo/ID rules are then relaxed as in para 9.3).

  3. Log in and apply for Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026.

  4. Capture a live camera photograph as prompted — do not photograph an old printed photo. No cap, mask or spectacles. Upload signature JPEG 10–20 KB, about 6.0 cm × 2.0 cm.

  5. Pay ₹100 if not exempt. Preview, submit, and save the printout (keep papers for at least three years).

  6. If needed, use the correction window (two chances; ₹200 then ₹500 for all categories).
