The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notice dated 8 September 2026 on ssc.gov.in about the city of examination and Admission Certificate for Phase-XIV/2026/Selection Posts (Computer Based Examination). The CBE will run from 16 September 2026 to 26 September 2026. Candidates can see their allotted exam city after login on the Commission’s website. This is not the Admission Certificate. The city notice is File HQ-IT018/4/2024-IT (Comp. No. 10517). The recruitment notice is Advertisement Phase-XIV/2026/Selection Posts, File HQ-RHQS015/1/2026/C-4, uploaded on 13 April 2026. Applications were accepted from 13.04.2026 to 04.05.2026 (23:00); fee till 05.05.2026 (23:00); correction window 11–13.05.2026 (23:00). The April notice had listed CBE as “June 2026 (tentative)”; the 8 September notice now fixes the window as 16–26 September 2026.

Open ssc.gov.in and use Login / Register.
Enter Registration Number (username), password and captcha.
Open the module for Phase-XIV/2026/Selection Posts.
View the allotted examination city. Save a screenshot or print for travel planning.
Read the 08.09.2026 PDF on the Notice Board if the card is missing.
The city slip is only for information. You cannot enter the lab with it. Download the Admission Certificate later from the same login. No Admission Certificate is sent by post. Common candidates (more than one EQ level) get one Admission Certificate per level and must sit once per level.
Admission Certificate and exam day
The 8 September notice says the Admission Certificate will tentatively be available two or three days before the examination date, through the same login. Full instructions stay in the 13 April notice. Carry the printed Admission Certificate and the photo ID used in the application; the Commission retains the certificate at the venue, so keep a copy. Appearance must match the live photograph captured in the form. Date of birth on the ID must match the Admission Certificate.
Own scribe (if you opted for it)
Scribe registrations before 05.11.2025 were disposed of. Fresh scribe registration on ssc.gov.in is required and is integrated with Aadhaar authentication. Map the scribe’s OTR by 11.09.2026, 23:00. The Scribe Entry Pass is generated only after successful mapping. Age of the own scribe follows SSC policy dated 04.11.2025 (No. PP001/14/2024-PP). Other scribe rules remain as in the examination notice.

Duration is 60 minutes with a 15-minute sectional timer (80 minutes with 20 minutes per part for eligible scribe candidates). Negative marking is 0.50 per wrong answer. Separate CBEs are held for Matriculation, Higher Secondary and Graduation & above. Medium (Hindi or English) was chosen in the application. Skill tests, where prescribed, are generally qualifying. Minimum CBE cut-offs in the notice: UR 30%, OBC/EWS 25%, other categories 20%.
