How to check the result
Open the roll-number PDF or the name-wise PDF on upsc.gov.in.
Use Find (Ctrl+F / Command+F) for your roll number or name.
If it appears, you have provisionally qualified for PST/PET only — not for final appointment.
Save the official PDF. Also check UPSC Written Results.
What written-qualified candidates must do
Log in at upsconline.nic.in within 15 days of the written result. This login is mandatory.
Update educational status (appeared / appearing) and upload proof of passing the qualifying degree where required.
Where applicable, update address, higher education, achievements, employment, earlier CAPF allocation, preference of forces, marital status, parental details, debarment, OBC/EWS annexure and the socio-economic questionnaire, then submit the form.
Even if the Common Application Form was already complete, you must still log in, verify and finally submit. Print the form for PST/PET and to generate the e-Summon / e-Admit Card for the Personality Test.
Keep originals ready for the PT Board. Missing papers can mean no interview and no TA.
Failure to update or finally submit makes a candidate ineligible for later stages. The Commission has said it will not entertain correspondence on this.
PST/PET (SSB)
The Ministry of Home Affairs has nominated Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) as the nodal authority. Date, time and venue will be on recruitment.ssb.gov.in, with e-Admit Cards and mail (check spam). Carry the e-Admit Card, a hard copy of the finally submitted form, and photo ID (Aadhaar, driving licence, passport, voter ID, etc.). For a missing PET admit card, contact SSB HQ (East Block-V, Sector-1, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066) on 011-26193929 or the emails above. Also tell SSB or UPSC if your address has changed.

|---|---|---|
| 100 metre race | 16 seconds | 18 seconds |
| 800 metre race | 3 min 45 sec | 4 min 45 sec |
| Long jump (3 chances) | 3.5 metres | 3.0 metres |
Those who fail PET are not called for the Interview/Personality Test.

|---|---|---|
| Paper I | General Ability and Intelligence (objective, English and Hindi) | 250 marks; 2 hours |
