Preference order for merit

1. B.E. / B.Tech (Chemical / Mechanical) with apprenticeship in manufacturing / handling of ammunition and explosives.

2. Diploma (Chemical / Mechanical) with the same ammunition / explosives apprenticeship.

3. B.Sc. (Chemistry major) with the same apprenticeship.

4. B.E. / B.Tech Chemical with apprenticeship in other chemical fields (not ammunition / explosives).

5. Diploma Chemical with apprenticeship in other chemical fields.

Candidates taken without ammunition / explosives apprenticeship must complete safety and technical scrutiny training at OFDR.

Selection process

There is no written examination in this advertisement. Phone or messenger queries are not entertained. Canvassing is a disqualification. English text prevails if Hindi and English differ. Courts at Pune have jurisdiction.

Monthly basic is ₹36,000 (year 1), ₹37,080 (year 2), ₹38,192 (year 3) and ₹39,338 (year 4), plus IDA. Daily pay is 1/30th of monthly basic plus IDA for an 8-hour day. HRA is paid if company quarters are not available. EPF, employee compensation and bonus (if the Bonus Act applies) are mentioned. Leave is 30 days a year (2.5 days a month). This is full-time tenure work in design, manufacturing, maintenance, QC and production of military ammunition and explosives. There is no regular-employee claim, no OT, LTC, factory hospital OPD (except emergency), loans or study leave. Either side may end the contract with one month’s notice or basic + IDA in lieu. Poor performance can end the contract after a warning, with 15 days’ notice. Unauthorised absence cuts pay proportionately.
