Who can apply
Graduate and diploma candidates register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme portal before they apply. An application without a valid NATS enrolment number is rejected. Only those who passed the course in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 are eligible, and only through regular mode. A candidate with a post-graduate degree is not considered. One year or more of training or job experience after the essential qualification also rules a candidate out. Reservation follows the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, as amended. SC, ST, OBC, PWD and EWS certificates are produced at document verification.
Selection
The PXE selection board shortlists on the percentage of marks in the essential qualification. Shortlisted candidates are called for a written test or interview at PXE, Chandipur. The joining letter, if issued, goes by email. The candidate downloads and prints the offer letter. PXE is not responsible for a mail lost to a wrong address or a spam folder. Where the mark sheet gives CGPA and no conversion formula, percentage is CGPA multiplied by 9.5.
The selected apprentice signs a one-year contract. The offer does not confer employment in PXE or DRDO. PXE can raise or cut the number of seats, and it can withdraw the advertisement.
