Vacancy Details

Post Name Category Posts Eligibility
Research Associate (Food)
Junior Research Fellow (Food Science)

Defence Institute of Biodefence Technologies (DIBT), a DRDO laboratory at Siddharthanagar, Mysuru – 570011, has invited Indian nationals for one Research Associate (RA) and four Junior Research Fellow (JRF) fellowships. The advertisement is listed on drdo.gov.in from 25 August 2026 to 24 September 2026. There is no online application portal. Send a hard-copy application with supporting documents to the Centre Head, DIBT, so that it is received within 30 days of publication (the vacancies page closes on 24 September 2026). RA needs a PhD in Food Processing Engineering / Food Engineering & Technology / Food Engineering. JRF needs an M.Sc. (first division) in Food Science & Technology with a valid NET/GATE score; the same table also lists an M.Tech. (first division) line in Polymer Science / Polymer Science & Technology / Polymer Engineering without a separate vacancy figure. RA age is maximum 35 years on receipt of the application; JRF age is maximum 28 years on the date of interview. This page covers stipend, tenure, written screening, interview papers and official files.

DIBT RA and JRF Notification 2026 Out @drdo.gov.in

The notice file is advtDIBT25082026.pdf (two pages of advertisement and general instructions). DIBT’s charter in the PDF is detection technologies for food-borne pathogens and toxins of biodefence importance, and military nutrition solutions. This is a hard-copy fellowship drive — not the DIBT paid-internship scheme 2026–27, not the DIBT graduate-apprentice notice, not the older DIBT JRF file of February 2025, and not a RAC Scientist post. The offer of fellowship does not confer a right of absorption in DRDO. Admission cannot be claimed as a matter of right. The two-page PDF does not print a blank application proforma; send a complete application with the papers listed below.
