There is no written examination in this advertisement. The selected doctor must give a self-declaration that current employers have no objection. If already engaged in a hospital or organisation for more than 30 hours a week, a No Objection Certificate is required. A candidate working as a Medical Officer elsewhere should bring an NOC at interview.

Duty hours and work

Indicative hours are 12:15 to 14:15 at the private dispensary, Monday to Saturday, excluding Bank holidays (subject to change). Total hours may rise up to 30 hours a week and must not exceed that. Holiday attendance, if required, is paid at ₹1,000 an hour.

The BMC works as a general medical practitioner for serving staff, touring staff, eligible family members (including dependent parents) and retired employees / spouses under the Medical Assistance Fund Scheme: advice, prescriptions and injections during duty hours, emergencies on Bank premises, leave certificates, monthly hygiene inspection of the office, annual staff health report, review of AHC reports, and other BMFS / MAF work named in Annex-I. The engagement is not regular employment. There is no pension, provident fund, gratuity, leave or other perks of regular staff.

Pay

The rate is ₹1,000 per hour for the full three-year contract, paid monthly against hours actually performed. Out of that monthly amount, ₹1,000 may be treated as conveyance. Mobile reimbursement is ₹1,000 per month in addition. Income tax is deducted at source as per the Income Tax Act, 2025. The Bank may review the rate and change hours or location for operational reasons. Either side may end the contract with three months’ notice, or three months’ pay in lieu (calculated at ₹1,000 an hour per Bank working day). For gross misconduct the Bank may terminate with 15 days’ notice. Courts at Panaji have jurisdiction.
