Age, qualification and experience

Age is above 45 years and less than 65 years, with good health. Annexure-A asks for age in completed years as on 01.09.2026. The essential qualification is a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university. The qualification column lists computer literacy, basic MS Office, the internet and typing in the local language as desirable. The same column says excellent communication in the local language is essential.

The experience column prefers retired or VRS bank officials of Scale I and above from nationalised banks, including State Bank of India and regional rural banks. It also lists an ex-serviceman, or a person other than a bank employee, such as a government school teacher, who has banking knowledge, knowledge of financial services, and the relevant Indian Institute of Banking and Finance certification. The applicant needs an unblemished service record and a service certificate from the previous employer, and 10 years as an officer or a permanent employee. The applicant should be a resident of Chhattisgarh, preferably of the same district as the centre or a nearby one.

Contract and pay

The appointment is on contract for one year. Renewal is at the bank's discretion under its rules. The person submits a performance appraisal to the Regional Manager one month before the contract ends. The advertisement says renewal will be considered if the grading is at least B of the RSETI centre, on the parameters prescribed by the Government of India.

For the Financial Literacy Centre, the pay is Rs 25,000 a month, and Rs 1,000 a month towards conveyance, including mobile. The advertisement says no other benefit or charge is payable. Where a vehicle is provided, no daily allowance or reimbursement is payable. Leave is 15 days in a year, with a maximum of 2 days in a month. The counsellor oversees the working of the centre. Eligible applicants are called for a personal interview. The bank's decision on that call is final.

The application is Annexure-A. The envelope is superscribed “Application for the post of Counsellor of FLC on contract basis”. It goes to the Agriculture and Social Banking Department, Central Bank of India, Regional Office, Dhanjal Complex near the government polytechnic college, Ambikapur, Surguja, Chhattisgarh 497001. Annexure-A addresses the Regional Manager at Dhanjal Complex, Near Govt Polytechnic College, Nemnakala, Ambikapur, District Surguja 497001. A letter box at the regional office will take forms dropped by hand. The instructions say no application fee is prescribed. Annexure-A still prints blank fields for a demand draft. Applications after 15.10.2026 will not be taken, and an incomplete form will be rejected.
