Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) has issued advertisement OPTCL-14013/9/2026-T AND D – Part (1) - 14389 dated 29.08.2026 on optcl.co.in for 100 one-year apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 — Degree Engineering, Degree Non-Engineering (HR, Finance, Law), Diploma Technician and ITI trades. Only Indian nationals belonging to Odisha may apply. Online forms open 02.09.2026, 00:00 and close 01.10.2026, 23:59. Monthly stipend is ₹12,300 (degree), ₹10,900 (diploma) or ₹9,600 (ITI). Highlights

Vacancy and stipend

OPTCL pays 50% of the stipend for Degree and Diploma streams; BOPT pays the other 50% by DBT. Reservation follows applicable rules. Unfilled seats in one discipline may be filled from another discipline of the same apprentice type.

Important dates

Eligibility

• Odisha-domicile Indian nationals only; age not below 18 years as on 01.08.2026.

• Regular full-time recognised qualification (Table A). Appearing candidates are not eligible. Passing year must be 2023–24, 2024–25 or 2025–26, and the gap to joining must not exceed three years.

• Degree Electrical: BE/B.Tech Electrical / EEE or equivalent. IT: CSE / IT. Telecom: E&TC / AE&I / ECE or equivalent.

• Diploma: Electrical; Civil; E&TC / AE&I or equivalent for Telecom.

• HR: MBA (HR) / MSW / PG in Personnel Management / PM&IR or equivalent. Finance: M.Com (Finance/Accounts) or B.Com with Intermediate CMA (ICAI) or equivalent. Law: LLM / LLB or equivalent. Graduation in BA/BSc/BCom/BBA preferred for non-engg. streams.

• ITI: Electrician or Electronics Mechanic (or equivalent).

• Physical standard as in Apprenticeship Rules 1992. Prior one-year apprenticeship or one year+ job experience bars application.

• NATS/NAPS registration and Aadhaar-seeded bank account required for DBT.

Selection

Academic merit and/or written test and/or interview, as OPTCL requires. No TA/DA for DV/interview. False information cancels the engagement. Management decisions on eligibility and filling seats are final.

3. Seed Aadhaar with your bank account.

4. On optcl.co.in open HRD → Training & Development → Advertisement for Engagement of Apprentices 2026 → Apply Online.

5. Enter the same educational, personal, bank and Aadhaar details as on the apprenticeship portal.

Fee

The advertisement does not print an OPTCL application fee. Use only official pages; ignore unofficial “payment” claims. OPTCL states it does not take bribes for selection.

Stipend / training

₹12,300 / ₹10,900 / ₹9,600 as in the table. Training is at OPTCL units across Odisha. No hostel or house-rent substitute. Safety rules apply. Stipend starts from the online contract date if performance is satisfactory.
