IDBI Guwahati Part-Time Doctor Recruitment 2026: 1 Contract Post

IDBI Bank Ltd has invited offline applications for one Part-Time Doctor on hourly contract at its Guwahati Zonal Office on idbi.bank.in. The seat is under Advertisement No. 4/2026-27. The Bank may raise or change the education or experience bar. Canvassing is a disqualification. Forms that do not follow the Appendix are liable to rejection.

Selection process

There is no written examination in this advertisement. The Bank will not correspond with applicants who are not shortlisted. This engagement does not create a claim to regular employment or to automatic renewal.

Duty and contract

The doctor visits the office / quarters dispensary on all working days: treat staff, dependents and pensioners; advise, prescribe, give injections and ordinary drugs; issue or countersign sick-leave certificates; raise chemist order forms for costly drugs for workmen and send copies for bill payment; arrange prophylactic inoculation (for example typhoid); help secure hospital facilities for employees and their spouse and children; scrutinise medical and hospitalisation bills; and run the dispensary. Administrative control is with the Guwahati Zonal Office.

Leave is 20 days a year. A substitute during absence is arranged and paid by the doctor. Only a compounder’s service may be engaged besides the doctor. Either side may end the contract with one month’s notice; the Bank need not issue a formal annulment order, and no compensation is payable on annulment. The Bank may change the hourly rate and duty hours for operational reasons.
