IBPS RRB Notification 2026

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection dated the CRP-RRBs-XV notification 01.09.2026 and placed it on ibps.in. IBPS RRB Notification 2026 covers Group A Officers (Scale-I, Scale-II and Scale-III) and Group B Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in participating Regional Rural Banks. A corrigendum dated 21.09.2026 moves online registration and fee payment to 01.09.2026 to 27.09.2026. Annexure-I, updated on 15.09.2026, lists 13,745 indicative posts.

These figures are the bank totals in the 15.09.2026 annexure. The notification calls them indicative. Manipur Rural Bank shows zero for Office Assistant and for Scale-I. Tripura Gramin Bank shows 39 Office Assistant posts and zero in Scale-III.

Dates

The 01.09.2026 notification gives those examination stages by month. It does not print a single exam day for every candidate.

Age and education

Those upper limits are for General and EWS. The notification adds 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer), and 10 years for persons with benchmark disability. Office Assistant ex-servicemen get the defence service period plus 3 years, with a ceiling of 50 years. Officer ex-servicemen commissioned officers who completed at least 5 years get 5 years. Widows, divorced women and legally separated women who have not remarried, for Office Assistant only, get a concession up to 35 years for General/EWS, 38 for OBC and 40 for SC/ST.

Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I need a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent. Scale-I and Office Assistant also need proficiency in the local language of the participating bank: the state language studied at Class VIII or above, or a certificate to that effect. A candidate who does not have it at selection gets six months from joining, and that period is not to run past probation. Scale-II General Banking needs a bachelor’s degree with 50 percent in aggregate and two years as an officer in a bank or financial institution. Scale-II specialist posts need the degree named in the notification, with 50 percent where the notification prints it, and the experience printed against that post. Scale-III needs a bachelor’s degree with 50 percent and five years as an officer in a bank or financial institution. The education clause still names 21.09.2026 as the date by which the result should have been declared. The 21.09.2026 corrigendum did not rewrite that clause.

Selection and pattern

Office Assistant: preliminary and main examinations. Allotment uses the main examination marks. There is no interview. Officer Scale-I: preliminary, main, and interview. Officer Scale-II and Scale-III: one online examination and interview. Interview marks are 100. The weight of the online examination and the interview is 80:20. Nodal regional rural banks coordinate the interview with NABARD and IBPS.

Preliminary, Office Assistant and Scale-I: Reasoning 40 questions, 40 marks, 25 minutes; Numerical Ability or Quantitative Aptitude 40 questions, 40 marks, 20 minutes. Total 80 questions, 80 marks, 45 minutes. A candidate has to qualify in both tests.

Main, Office Assistant and Scale-I: 200 questions, 200 marks, 120 minutes. Reasoning 40/50/30 minutes, Computer Knowledge 40/20/15, General Awareness 40/40/15, English or Hindi 40/40/30, and Numerical Ability or Quantitative Aptitude 40/50/30. The candidate chooses English or Hindi.

Single examination, Scale-II General Banking and Scale-III: 200 questions, 200 marks, 120 minutes, with Financial Awareness in place of General Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation as the numerical test. Scale-II specialist: 240 questions, 200 marks, 150 minutes, including Professional Knowledge 40 questions and 40 marks. A wrong objective answer deducts one-fourth (0.25) of that question’s marks. A blank answer has no penalty.

Fee and application

The candidate bears the bank transaction charge. Payment is online.

1. Open the CRP-RRBs-XV page and choose the officer form or the Office Assistant form.

2. Use new registration. Note the provisional registration number and password.

3. Upload the photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, and the Class 10 certificate, in the sizes given in Annexure III. A photograph is also captured by webcam or phone.

4. For Office Assistant and Scale-I, select the State or Union Territory for provisional allotment. That choice cannot be changed later.

5. Pay on the gateway and keep the e-receipt.
