UPSC EPFO APFC Notification 2026: 80 Posts

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued Special Advertisement No. 52/2026 on upsconline.nic.in/ora for direct recruitment to Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Ministry of Labour & Employment. There are 80 vacancies (Vacancy No. 26085201722). The post is permanent Group-A (non-ministerial) in Pay Level-10 of the 7th CPC matrix. Graduates of a recognised university can apply online from 22 August 2026 to 11 September 2026, 18:00 hrs. Age is reckoned on the closing date: 35 years for UR/EWS, 38 for OBC and 40 for SC/ST. Selection is by RT and interview. The RT carries 300 marks and the interview 100 marks (75:25 weightage). Headquarters is New Delhi; the post has All India Service liability. Probation is one year. NPS applies with effect from 01.01.2004. A diploma in Company Law, Labour Laws or Public Administration is desirable.

Qualification

Essential: Degree of a recognised university or equivalent.
Desirable: Diploma in Company Law, Labour Laws or Public Administration.

UPSC may relax qualifications for reasons recorded in writing. Experience relaxations for SC/ST follow the notice. Meeting the minimum does not guarantee an interview. List qualifications and experience above the minimum in the form.

Duties and service conditions

APFC work covers enforcement, recovery, accounts, administration, cash, legal, pension and computer functions — inquiries, claim settlement, cash book / bank reconciliation, MIS and related statutory work. The post is permanent, Central Board Group-A. Probation is one year. Leave salary and pension contribution for permanent government servants follow DoPT instructions.

Selection process

You must meet the category-wise minimum at both stages. Interview suitability: UR 50, OBC 45, SC/ST/PwBD 40 out of 100. The RT cut-off is decided by the Commission case by case.

How to apply

1. Open upsconline.nic.in/ora.

2. Create an account, complete Universal Registration (URN) and the Common Application Form; upload a live photo and three signatures.

3. Fill the post-specific module for APFC under Advt. 52/2026.

4. Upload separate PDFs for date of birth, caste, degree, experience and other claims.

5. Pay the fee (if payable) by card, UPI or net banking by 11.09.2026, 18:00 hrs.

6. Print the submitted form. Do not post it. Withdrawal or field edits after submit are not allowed.

Enter a photo ID (Aadhaar is recommended) in the URN and carry it to the RT and interview. Help during the window is on working days 09:00–17:30 as stated in the notice. Wrong particulars can lead to rejection or debarment.

Application fee

The fee is non-refundable. Applications without the due fee are rejected.

Salary

Level-10 of the 7th CPC pay matrix. Other allowances follow Government of India rules. The Commission may grant a higher initial pay to candidates adjudged meritorious in the interview.
