All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Deoghar has issued AIIMS Deoghar Faculty Notification 2026 as the 9th Rolling Advertisement, Phase 2. Eligibility

Direct recruitment age, counted on the phase cut-off:

Age relaxation on direct recruitment, beyond that limit: SC/ST 5 years; OBC 3 years; persons with disabilities 10 years (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC); Government servants 5 years as per DoPT; ex-servicemen 5 years. PwD upper age otherwise follows Government of India rules.

On deputation, the closing-date limit is 58 years for posts at Level 14 of the pay matrix and above, and 56 years for posts below Level 14.

Medical posts need a qualification in the Indian Medical Council Act schedules, or the Part II conditions where they apply, plus the postgraduate degree named for that department. The PDF lists MD, MS, MDS, DM, M.Ch and, where written, DNB. DNB holders must follow the MCI equivalence note dated 31.10.2018, including extra experience where that note requires it. Teaching experience for medical posts is counted only from an MCI-recognised medical college. Experience in a physiotherapy, homeopathic, Ayurvedic or nursing college is not accepted for those posts. SC and ST candidates get one year of relaxation in essential teaching or research experience.

If a suitable Additional Professor or Associate Professor is not found, a lower cadre in the same category may fill that seat and will join on the lower post. Candidates eligible for the lower cadre may apply where a higher post is advertised and marked for downgrade.

College of Nursing, Associate Professor (Reader): Master’s degree in Nursing from a recognised institution, registration as a Nurse Midwife, and eight years after M.Sc (Nursing) including five years of teaching. Teaching experience must be from an INC-recognised medical or nursing college. A PhD from an INC-recognised college is desirable.

A person who is not in EWS may apply for an EWS-earmarked post only if a suitable EWS applicant is not available. That candidature is treated as unreserved, reserved-category relaxation does not apply, and the unreserved fee of Rs 3,000 is charged. The fee is not refunded.

Selection

AIIMS Deoghar will interview Indian nationals and OCI cardholders registered under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955. The notice does not print a written-test scheme. Selected direct recruits serve a probation of two years. Deputation is for five years, on DoPT terms. Private practice is not permitted. The waiting list stays valid for six months after the result. A separate form and a separate fee are required for each post. Disputes fall under the courts at Deoghar.

How to apply

1. Read the Phase 2 PDF, including the department row and Annexures 1 to 9 (and Annexures 10 to 12 for deputation).

2. Pay the fee, where it applies, into the State Bank of India account printed in the notice and keep the receipt.

3. Scan the signed form and enclosures at 200 dpi grey scale into one legible PDF. An illegible file is rejected.

4. Email that single PDF to facultyrecruitmentcell@aiimsdeoghar.edu.in by the Phase 2 cut-off, 15 October 2026.

5. For direct recruitment, bring the hard copy to document verification before the interview.

6. For deputation, also send the application through the cadre-controlling authority by speed post, registered post or by hand to Recruitment Cell, Academic Block, 4th Floor, Devipur, Deoghar, Jharkhand, PIN 814117. The envelope should name the post, the department and “deputation basis”. Send one advance copy as well. The NOC for a government employee must be issued after the advertisement date.
