CAT 2026 Apply Online

IIM Indore is conducting CAT 2026 (Convener Prof. Aditya Billore). A media release dated 15 September 2026 has moved the registration close from 15 September to 22 September 2026 (Tuesday), 5:00 p.m. Registration opened at 10:00 a.m. on 3 August 2026. The test remains Sunday 29 November 2026, three sessions, 120 minutes (VARC, DILR, QA — 40 minutes each, no switching). About 170 cities; pick five preferences. Apply only at iimcat.ac.in. CAT is a management-admission score for IIMs and listed non-IIM programmes — not a job vacancy. The convener has said the 22 September deadline will not be extended again.

The July information bulletin still prints the old 15 September close. Treat the 15.09.2026 media release as the current clock. After the window closes, a very short edit window is planned for paid, successfully registered candidates only — photograph, signature and test-city preferences. Once a centre is allotted, it cannot be changed.

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% (or equivalent CGPA); 45% for SC/ST/PwBD. Same marks for CA/CS/ICWA (CMA)/FIAI.

• Final-year / result-awaited candidates may apply; joining is provisional on a Principal/Registrar certificate by the date each IIM sets.

• Reservation as in the PDF: SC 15%, ST 7.5%, NC-OBC 27%, EWS up to 10%, PwBD 5%. Category cannot be changed after registration. Upload certificates at apply time.

How to apply

1. Open only iimcat.ac.in and create a New Candidate Registration profile.

2. Fill academics, select five test cities, upload photo and signature.

3. Upload SC/ST/PwBD (and other reservation) certificates if you claim concession, then pay once.

4. Wait for the confirmation mail. Do not treat a look-alike URL as official.

Submit before 5:00 p.m. on 22 September 2026. The last days are crowded. IIMs may change the test date if required. Recheck iimcat.ac.in before you pay.
