JILCCE is a combined process: one application, then a written path that may start with a screening Prelims if applications cross the Commission’s large-volume threshold (commonly discussed around 50,000 applications — confirm the exact trigger in Advt 03/2026). Mains has three papers of two hours each. Paper I (Hindi + English) is a qualifying language paper. Paper II is Tribal / Regional language. Mains pattern

• Indian history, geography, polity — freedom movement outline, physical/economic geography of India, Constitution, Parliament, fundamental rights/duties, local bodies.

• Jharkhand — state history and movement, culture, festivals, tribes and languages, minerals and industry, rivers and plateaus, administration and districts.

• Mathematics (Class 10) — number system, percentage, ratio, average, profit-loss, SI-CI, time-work, mensuration, basic algebra and geometry.

• General Science — everyday physics, chemistry and biology at school level; health and environment awareness useful for Health Supervisor / MPW streams.

• Mental ability — series, analogy, coding, direction, blood relation, classification, simple puzzles.

• Languages — Hindi and English grammar, comprehension and usage for Paper I; chosen Tribal / Regional language for Paper II as allowed in the notice.

• Computer & Hindi typing knowledge (Paper III) — computer fundamentals, OS, MS Office, internet, and Hindi typing concepts as described in the brochure (skill test, if any, is separate — read the PDF).
