RITES NX Design Engineer Recruitment 2026: 4 Consultant Posts

RITES Limited, a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has invited online applications on rites.com for four Individual Consultant: NX Design Engineer seats. Vacancy circular YP/13-R1/25 is a CV-based consultancy hire, not a regular RITES cadre post. Apply from 1 September 2026 to 15 September 2026 (23:00). The fee is ₹1,25,000 a month. Deployment is at Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW), Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The notice is titled “Engagement of Individual Consultants in RITES LTD.” The consultant is an independent service provider, not a staff member or official of RITES. An offer is issued only after the client approves the CV, and work continues only while the client still needs the person. Tentative tenure is four months, extendable one year at a time on the same project after a performance review, and not beyond 65 years of age.

Eligibility

Age

The circular does not add a separate reserved-category age table. Extension of consultancy, if any, is not given beyond 65 years.

Education and certification

• Diploma, Graduation or Post Graduation in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.

• Siemens Xcelerator NX Design Associate certification is mandatory.

Experience

• Five years’ total post-qualification experience.

• Of these, three years in 3-D modelling of locomotives or coaches using Unigraphics (UG NX).

• Also required: functional knowledge of engineering constraints and standards, and communication / presentation skill with several stakeholders.

• Desirable: Siemens NX, 3-D data and drawing work, hands-on work with rolling-stock OEMs or Railway production units / PSUs.

Training (except on-the-job training), internship, teaching, academic work, fellowship and PhD research do not count as experience.

Results (suitable / not found suitable) are uploaded on rites.com. Mere apply, upload or interview does not create a right to engagement.

How to apply

1. Read YP/13-R1/25 on rites.com/Career.

2. Open the registration format in the Career section and complete the online form.

3. Note the system-generated Registration Number for all later mail to RITES.

4. Upload clear scans: photo, academic certificates and marksheets, NX certificate, experience proofs, ID, PAN and Annexure-A (checklist in the PDF).

5. Submit by 15.09.2026, 23:00. Applications cannot be edited after submit.

6. Print and sign the form. Bring it with originals and one self-attested set at scrutiny / interview. Do not post hard copies to RITES.

Pay and other terms

Monthly service payment is ₹1,25,000, released within a week after the month on registered attendance. There is no PF, ESI or gratuity. TDS is deducted; GST is admissible as applicable. Leave is 1.5 days for each completed month, not carried beyond a calendar year. No TA/DA for joining or completion. Full-time consultants cannot take another assignment during the contract. One month’s notice applies on either side. Police verification is required; a negative report ends the contract at once.
