Eligibility

The common instructions say the applicant must be an Indian woman. She needs a local-residence certificate, in the prescribed form, showing at least one year of residence: the revenue village of the Anganwadi in rural areas, or the municipal ward in urban areas. The certificate should not be older than six months from the advertisement date. Age on the last date of application: 18 years complete, and not above 33 years. The district notice also prints separate age lines for widow or divorcee worker applicants and for married helper applicants; read that PDF before applying.

• Anganwadi Worker: Class 12 pass, or Class 10 pass plus an AICTE-approved diploma of at least two years.

• Anganwadi Helper: Class 10 pass.

• The last date of the form is the cut-off for age and qualification.

• A woman with a criminal case, a court sentence, insolvency, or dismissal from government, semi-government, or honorary service for misconduct cannot apply.

• Two members of the same family cannot be engaged at one centre where the relationship falls in the prohibited list in the instructions (mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, sisters-in-law, two sisters, and similar).

Selection

The Mahisagar notice says the online merit list follows the department’s recruitment rules: educational qualification, age, and marks. Honorarium is paid under the general conditions of the ICDS honorary service. A serving helper gets the priority the 25.11.2019 resolution prints when she applies for a worker post.

4. Apply on the same portal. Upload the certificates the form asks for, including the residence certificate and marksheets.

5. If a marksheet shows a grade or CPI, upload the university or college conversion to marks or percentage.

Is this a regular government salary?

The notices call it honorary ICDS service. The Mahisagar notice prints a monthly honorarium of ₹10,000 for a worker and ₹5,500 for a helper.
