Qualification, age and fee

The candidate needs a B.Sc. (Nursing) from a university established under a Central or State Act in India, or from an institution recognised as such, or from a deemed university under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, and the degree must be recognised by the Gujarat Nursing Council or the Indian Nursing Council. A diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from an institution recognised by either council also meets the nursing qualification. The candidate also needs the basic knowledge of computer application prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967, and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. A person appointed from this examination has to be registered with the Gujarat Nursing Council under the Gujarat Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act, 1968, at the time of appointment, if not already registered.

Age on 12.10.2026 is 18 to 35.
