The Staff Selection Commission has published the exam-city intimation for Stenographer Grade C and Grade D Examination 2026 on ssc.gov.in. The Computer Based Examination for 1,275 posts (Grade C 146, Grade D 1,129) will run from 9 to 15 September 2026 under the revised schedule. Candidates who applied between 24 April and 15 May 2026 can open the city slip with their registration number and date of birth. The hall ticket is expected before the exam (around 4 September 2026). How to download the city slip and admit card
Open ssc.gov.in/login.
Sign in with your OTR / registration details.
Open Stenographer Examination 2026 for the city slip.
When the hall ticket is live, use Admit Card or your regional office link. You will need registration/roll number and date of birth.
Check name, photo, date, shift and centre. Print a clear copy. Do not edit the card; contact the regional office if a field is wrong.
Carry a printed admit card, an original photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, voter card, driving licence or passport) and any extra photograph listed on the card. Leave phones, smartwatches and calculators at home.

Selection is CBT, then a qualifying stenography skill test, then document verification. The CBT has Reasoning 50, GA 50 and English 100 — 200 marks in 2 hours, with 0.25 deducted for each wrong answer.
