JKSSB Class-IV Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 2863 Posts

The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has published Advertisement Notification No. 09 of 2026 dated 01 September 2026 on jkssb.nic.in. There are 2,863 Class-IV (MTS) and Sanitation Worker posts in UT, Divisional and District cadres across departments. Only J&K domiciles who meet the prescribed minimum and maximum qualifications can apply online from 05 October to 03 November 2026. Age is reckoned on 01 January 2026. The drive follows S.O. 184 of 2020 and related rules. The exam date and centres will be notified later on the Board website. Cadre and department allocation is by merit-cum-preference and is final once notified. Vacancy numbers may rise or fall before the final list.

Important dates

Age limit (01.01.2026)

Ex-servicemen: deduct service from actual age; residual age must not exceed the prescribed maximum by more than three years. Eligible casual workers should read the extra age benefit in the Class-IV special rules in the notice.

Educational qualification

All qualifications must be held by 03.11.2026. A degree above the prescribed maximum disqualifies that post.

Rules: S.O. 184 of 2020 / SRO 99 of 2008 (MTS); S.O. 132 of 2022 (sanitation worker).

Selection marks (out of 100)

“Family” means spouse, brother, sister and parents only. The syllabus will be notified separately. Eligible PwBD candidates may use their own scribe and 20 minutes compensatory time per hour, as in the notice.

1. Register / complete OTR on jkssb.nic.in.

2. Open Active Advertisement and choose 09 of 2026.

3. Enter personal, domicile and qualification details; upload photo, signature and certificates.

4. Pay the fee by net banking or card.

5. Submit before 03 November 2026 and keep a printout.
