The High Court of Delhi has issued a vacancy notice for the Senior Personal Assistant and Personal Assistant Examination 2026 on www.delhihighcourt.nic.in. A total of 150 Group ‘B’ posts are to be filled — 117 Senior Personal Assistant (Level 8) and 33 Personal Assistant (Level 7) — and a panel will also be drawn. Graduates who meet the English shorthand and typing speeds, and who are 18 to 32 years on 1 January 2026, can apply online only from 15 September 2026, 11:00 hours to 5 October 2026, 23:00 hours. Exam dates will come later by public notice. This page covers vacancies, age, fee, the four-stage scheme and official files.

The notice invites citizens of India or subjects of Nepal (as per Government of India instructions). File a separate application and fee for each post if you want both SPA and PA. There is no General vacancy for Personal Assistant, so General-category clauses in the notice apply only to SPA. Offline forms are not accepted. PwBD seats are horizontal among the listed disabilities of 40% or more. There is no Ex-Servicemen reservation on these Group ‘B’ posts. OBC reservation is only for candidates with an NCT of Delhi OBC certificate for a caste notified as OBC by the Government of NCT of Delhi, plus NCL issued in FY 2026-27 (01.04.2026–31.03.2027). Certificates for reserved benefits must be dated on or before 05.10.2026.

PwBD relaxation in age and Main marks is only for the disability categories for which seats are reserved, at 40% or more. There is no scribe and no compensatory time at any stage. Every candidate, including PwBD, must appear in typing and shorthand.

Each stage must be cleared in order. Two shorthand attempts; the better score counts. Four marks are cut for each full mistake and two for each half mistake. Candidates at the exact mistake cap get 10 marks; more mistakes mean disqualification. Merit is Stage II + III + IV. Ties are broken by those three scores, then older date of birth. Medium of examination is English only.

SPA passing marks: 50% General, 45% reserved including PwBD. PA has no General seat, so reserved / PwBD passing marks are 45%.

How to apply

  1. From 15 September 2026, 11:00 hours open www.delhihighcourt.nic.in and register with your email and mobile. Note the system-generated application number.

  2. Fill a separate form for SPA and for PA if you want both. Pay the fee for each form.

  3. Upload a colour JPEG photograph (100–200 KB, about 3.5 × 4.5 cm, not more than three months old, no cap / mask / spectacles, face about 75% of the frame).

  4. Capture the mandatory live photograph on webcam or phone. It must match the uploaded photo or the form will not proceed.

  5. Upload left-thumb impression JPEG (50–200 KB; right thumb if the left is unavailable) and signature JPEG (50–150 KB). Full name in capitals is not a signature.

  6. Pay by UPI, net banking, credit or debit card. The form is complete only when the confirmation page is generated after fee payment.

  7. Government employees must inform their office and produce an NOC at document verification / interview.

  8. If needed, use the correction window (12–14 October 2026). Name, category, date of birth and mobile cannot be changed. Correction fee is ₹200 the first time and ₹500 the second time (all categories). After that, no change by post, fax, email or hand.

Carry two copies of the same uploaded photo and an original photo ID to every stage. Name and date of birth must match the matriculation certificate.

Fee is not refunded or adjusted. A form without fee is rejected.

Pay

SPA is placed at the 8th Level and PA at the 7th Level of the 7th CPC pay matrix (Group ‘B’). Confirm current cell values from Government / Court pay orders at joining. Recruits work on the High Court of Delhi establishment in New Delhi.
