Bank of Baroda has opened regular recruitment for Local Bank Officer (LBO) under advertisement BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/16 dated 18.08.2026 on bankofbaroda.bank.in. There are 2482 JMG/Scale-I posts (state-wise new and unfilled seats). Online registration began 18.08.2026. An official addendum dated 07.09.2026 extends the last date for form and fee to 17.09.2026, 23:59. The online test is tentatively in the first week of October 2026. The drive is for Indian citizens who already have at least one year as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the RBI. Graduation in any discipline is mandatory. You may apply for one State only and must be proficient in that State’s local language. Current BOB officer-cadre / contract staff cannot apply. Merit is drawn State-wise and category-wise.

Eligibility

• Indian citizen. Age 21–30 years as on 01.08.2026 (GoI relaxations as in the notice).

• Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university/institution.

• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience as an officer in an RBI Second Schedule Scheduled Commercial Bank. Clerical experience does not count. Experience under six months in an organisation (except current employment) is ignored.

• Local-language proficiency (read, write, speak, understand) for the opted State. For Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, English is accepted only if studied as a subject from a school in that State.

• Preferred (not mandatory) certifications listed in the PDF: IC 38, NISM V-A, NISM XXI-A, NISM XIII.

Selection and exam pattern

Online test (and any further test the Bank notifies), then interview of those who qualify. English Language is qualifying only — those marks do not enter the final merit. Other sections are bilingual (Hindi/English). Qualifying marks in each section are decided by the Bank.

How to apply

1. Read the advertisement PDF and addendum.

2. Open the LBO page on Current Opportunities and use the official Apply link (IBPS portal for this cycle).

3. Register, choose one State, upload photo, signature, bio-data and eligibility documents as in Annexure II of the PDF.

4. Pay the fee online. Registration is complete only after successful payment. Keep the acknowledgement number.

5. Do not submit more than one form. Later valid form is kept; earlier fees are forfeited.

Fee

Fee is non-refundable even if no online test is held.

Pay

JMG/S-I scale in the notice starts at ₹48,480 and goes up to ₹85,920, plus DA and other allowances as per Bank rules. Third-party “in-hand” figures are unofficial.
