IIT Tirupati Research Associate 2026: 2 Project Posts till 14 September

Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati’s Centre for Sponsored Research and Consultancy has issued two DST National Quantum Mission Physics project advertisements dated 31 August 2026 for Research Associate posts. Both drives close on 14 September 2026. Only Indian nationals may apply. Age must be not more than 35 years, with relaxation for reserved categories as per rules — do not treat 35 as a rigid number if you hold a valid relaxation certificate; the PDFs still state the 35-year ceiling first. Engagement is initially one year and extendable up to three years, subject to performance and project need. Interviews may be online or offline at IIT Tirupati; no TA/DA is paid. Shortlisting communication is by email only. You must send a statement of purpose, CV and mark sheets from Class X to the latest degree. Both PDFs sit on the institute files server. Form 11 is Quantum ML / reservoir computing and PDE solvers. Form 10 is quantum algorithms, codes and protocols. Pay structures differ. Partners and collaborating faculty also differ. Apply on the Google Form named in that PDF only.

Eligibility (do not mix the two ads)

Advertisement 11: PhD in Quantum Computation, or Theoretical Physics / Applied Mathematics / Mathematics / Computer Science and Engineering with quantum-computing expertise. Thesis submitted is acceptable. Desired skills: Python, Qiskit, NumPy, SciPy, PyTorch or JAX.

Advertisement 10: PhD in Many-body Quantum Chaos, or Theoretical Quantum Physics / Quantum many-body / Quantum Computation and Information. Pay slab RA-I / II / III follows DST years after PhD as printed — this page does not invent extra slabs.

Both ads: Indian nationals; age not more than 35 with reserved-category relaxation as applicable; SOP + CV + marks from Class X onward; email shortlist only.

Selection

The committee will screen forms and may call you for an online or campus interview. There is no written CBT described in these two project PDFs. Non-receipt of email means you were not shortlisted. Discontinuation is with one month’s notice from either side.

How to apply

1. Download the PDF that matches your research area — /11 for Quantum ML and PDE solvers, /10 for algorithms, codes and protocols.

2. Open only the Google Form printed in that PDF (Form 11 or Form 10).

3. Upload SOP, CV and mark sheets. If your PhD thesis is submitted but not awarded, say so clearly where the form asks.

4. Submit by 14 September 2026. Use csrc_recruitment@iittp.ac.in for queries, not random department IDs.

For /11: ₹58,000 + HRA. For /10: ₹58,000 / ₹61,000 / ₹67,000 (RA-I/II/III) as per DST post-PhD years.

Is age relaxation mentioned?
Age is not more than 35 years, with relaxation for reserved categories as per the notices.

Will I get TA/DA for the interview?
No. Interviews may be online or offline at IIT Tirupati without TA/DA.
